Terms & Conditions

The hiring agreement shall be between the Hirer and the Proprietor of the property and shall be deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire.

All terms are per week Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise stated. The usual time of takeover is 3pm and you are required to vacate the property by 10am on the morning of departure. Please maintain the premises and contents in a clean and tidy condition. The proprietor reserves the right to make an additional charge to the departing Hirer if the cottage or any of its contents are damaged.

We operate a strict no smoking policy and regret that pets are not allowed. We do not supply towels, but bed linen is included and electricity and central heating are provided free of charge.

It is a condition of booking that the total number in your party shall not exceed six persons. The principal Hirer must be over 21 years of age. The Proprietor reserves the right to refuse entry to the property to any person who is deemed unsuitable and to terminate the contract at any time during the period of hire should the hirer or any member of the hirer’s party be deemed a nuisance or danger to others or cause damage to the property or surrounding area and or wildlife. In either of these circumstances no refund will be made

You may not take into the cottage portable heaters of any type, lighting equipment, or anything which may cause danger to the property, its contents or its occupants.

In the event of the property not being available for any reason beyond our control, the Proprietor’s liability will end with the repayment of any monies thus paid.

The Hirer shall allow the Proprietor or their employees entry to the premises for all reasonable purposes.

Booking.

A deposit of £200.00 (Two hundred pounds) per week is required to confirm the booking and the full balance is payable no later than 6 weeks prior to your holiday start date (this deposit is non refundable). If your holiday start date is within 6 weeks of the booking date then the full hire charge is payable immediately. If the balance is not received within 2 weeks of the start date, the Proprietor reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Should you need to cancel your holiday, please telephone, and then confirm the cancellation in writing.  We  shall  endeavour to  re-let your booking date however if it cannot be re-let, you will remain liable for any outstanding balance.

YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO TAKE OUT YOUR OWN HOLIDAY INSURANCE

Payments by cheque or bank transfer please.

Liability

The proprietor cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) or your property including your vehicle and its contents from any cause whatsoever other than proven negligence by ourselves.

Riverbank Cottage is a waterside property, exercise extreme care at all times and ensure that children are always supervised.
